ASTTBC is the certifying body of property inspectors in BC, ensuring they maintain the highest industry standards in the protection of the public.

CHI and CPI inspectors are certified by ASTTBC – one of the largest professional associations in BC. The Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of BC has 9,500+ members in many fields relating to applied science and engineering technology.

ASTTBC is a self-governing professional association incorporated under the ASTT Act. With over 50 years as a professional association you can rely on ASTTBC members to protect the public interest.

Continuing Personal Development (CPD)

In the interests of protecting public health and safety, the environment and economy, it is essential that technology professional engage in lifelong learning. The public expects that technology professional operate at the current level of knowledge and expertise and that level is constantly changing with innovation and development. To support all Certified House Inspectors Provisional CHI(P), Certified House Inspector (CHI) and Certified Property Inspector (CPI) in their efforts to maintain, enhance their professional skills, knowledge and to provide assurance to the public, ASTTBC has established a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirement.

In support of the CPD program ASTTBC-PI has untaken an aggression approval to providing ongoing educational sessions and seminars with webinar links for members outside the lower mainland to participate. Continued education is a commitment from ASTTBC-PI to ensure our members are industry leadings the field of home inspection.
